Who can participate?
Tirreno Apóstol is limited to 200 participants. Anyone over 18 years of age who is correctly registered can take part in the race. Due to the characteristics of the event, it is recommended to undergo a medical examination and physical tests before taking part in the race.
Is there any compulsory equipment or clothing?
As this is an ultra-distance event, where the participant must complete the route without external help and in a natural environment, it is advisable to carry a bivy bag, warm clothing, etc. In couples, this material may be carried by one of the participants in the couple.
Helmets and front and rear lights are compulsory and the use of headphones is forbidden. At night it is compulsory to wear a waistcoat or reflective clothing.
What modalities are there?
The event can be done individual, in couples and in relays (3 people, change of relay in the towns of Monforte and Allariz).
Riding in groups or with other riders is allowed, Tirreno Apostol is an event where the company and getting to know Galicia is part of the charm that we want to transmit.
Start and finish line
The start will be located in the Plaza del Obradoiro (Santiago de Compostela).
The finish line will be located at the OCA Puerta Hotel del Camino de Santiago de Compostela.
What does the runner's bag include?
All participants of Tirreno Apostol will receive a runner’s bag (Welcome Pack) that will be delivered on Thursday 24 July from 16 to 20 hours at the OCA Puerta del Camino Hotel and will include the following:
– Exclusive maillot of the event of the brand Alé Cycling.
– Personalised cycling cap.
– Finisher gift of the event.
– Invitation to the Social Ride that will take place on Thursday 24 July starting from the OCA Puerta del Camino Hotel. Access to the subsequent cocktail of typical Galician products, talk by guest athletes and local musical groups.
– Final buffet lunch on Sunday 27 July at the OCA Puerta del Camino Hotel.
– Refreshments along the route.
– Satellite tracking system.
– Mechanics points.
-Gift pack of typical Galician products.
Is there a maximum time limit?
Yes, there will be a maximum time limit of 60 hours. The time limit to finish the race at the OCA Puerta del Camino Hotel will be 10 p.m. on Sunday 27 July.
Do I have to follow the track?
Yes, it is compulsory to follow the track provided. This will be provided the days before the start of the adventure. If any participant deviates from the route for any reason, he/she must return to the start of the route to continue along the indicated track.
Is it possible to receive external help?
External assistance by another vehicle is not permitted.
Food, drink and equipment must be transported by oneself without external assistance. In couples, this material may be carried by one of the participants of the couple.
On what type of bike can I do the event on?
The race can be done on a gravel or mountain bike.
